Dr. Sofia Babanova graduated from the University of Sofia (M.Sc. in Organic and Analytical Chemistry, 2002). Her professional experience started at 2002 as a technologist and continued (2003) as an analytical chemist till 2012 when she joined Center of Emerging Energy Technologies at University of New Mexico, where she is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow. She graduated as a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry (Electrochemistry) at the South West University, Bulgaria (2012). Later in the same year she obtained an M.Sc. in "Measurement Science in Chemistry". Her research interests are focused in the area of biological fuel cells for energy harvesting. She introduced the term uncertainty in this field by applying a new approach for deeper understanding and accurate representation of the results associated with these complicated systems.
